I remember Christmases
of my childhood long past.
I am all grown now
my youth did not last.
Oh, how those memories
are precious to me.
The train and the village
beneath the aluminum tree.
The roating light
made it magically glow.
Family all gathered
to sit down and feast,
on Turkey , and fixin's
home baked pies as a treat.
God called you home
on Thanksgiving day.
I have no remorse there
was nothing left to say.
For you already knew that
I would someday be
a grandmother just like
the one you were to me.

I only have one grandmother and grandfather left. I don't know what I would do if I lost them. I have done lots of things with them. I think about that every day. *S* Cynthia |
