Till death did we part

Topic: toughstuff

I thought you would only be mine since we got engaged,
you were my angel ang future wife-with those images I portrayed,
you broke the eternal promise and I cannot forgive you,
before you said you loved me-I was always there to protect you,
why is it now...-everythings changed between us,
I still remember that moment when you said you would keep no secrets,
there is a reason that you refuse to look me in my eyes,
and a reason that you feel the need to tell me little white lies,
theres something beyond the cloak of tears and sobs,
an emotionless entity letting me know we dont belong,
Ive paid my dues to find truth-peace and live happily,
even if I try hard to smile...
this love already died tragically...

Alex this really got to me. I can feel your pain and anguish through your words. Breaks my heart to see that you're in pain. Hang tuff friend. I'm always here for you ok. May you find someone who will give you the love that your beautiful heart deserves. One with complete truthfulness and respect.
You write so meaningful and express yourself so well in your work. A sad, but very well written piece of poetry. Well done Alex.
Hugs,
~Sue~

Poetry is much like a great photo, a single "moment in time" capturing many feelings and emotions. Yet, they are very alive; creating stirrings within the readers who form visual "pictures" of the expressed emotions within the Poem. ©
