sunlight gleams within my day
i think happiness has come, and plans to stay
a smile rests easy upon this mask
merriment and jubilance no longer a task
i swear this is perfection
the happiness you bring is an infection
uprooting my sorrow
and tossing it far into the 'morrow
i don't know what it is that you do
but there is something wonderful about you
tis' it just my imagination tricking my eyes
or are you really my personal angel in disguise
whatever you may truly be
i couldn't laugh nor smile without thee
i rejoice in your presence
i sing your melodious name
i would fall silent in your absence
but as long as i have breath your beauty i will proclaim
