As night falls upon the ground
the crickets and toads gather round
to sing their songs to the swans at play
underneath the skies of grey
Gaurding them are weeds and sheen
Above them the moon's shining silver gleam
Swimming and gliding about the water's face
Their reflections respond full of grace
These two swans spend the night at play
Together, forever in love to stay
