My phone

Contributed by FlirtQueen on Monday, 18th April 2005 @ 08:43:47 PM in AEST
Topic: oops

I hear the phone ringing
and I feel my heart singing
but it isn't you
and now I'm blue

I can't wait to see you
and your eyes of crystal blue
I want to hear your voice
and once again rejoice

I know I have to wait
and I just hate
that I can't be with you
I don't care who

Has been sayin' crap
I don't care what they think of this mishap
I love you and don't care
about what they say, I swear

You're the one I want
My dreams you haunt
with your beautiful face
and your touch of pure grace

My eyes burn with rage
I feel trapped in a cage
you make me feel right
and safe at night

I am sorry I hurt you
because there are a few
guys that come around
and pick my heart up from the ground

You are special and I know
that I didn't mean to let you go
it was an innocent kiss
and it contained no real bliss

You're the one that pulled me from the water
Together we could've had a beautiful daughter
but I mess it up big
and all for a last minute pig

It meant nothing at all
But too late I've started to fall
Loosing my grace
and away from your face

I'll miss you
and I haven't a clue
why I cheated
with someone I just greeted

I hear the phone ringing in my head
as I lie crying on my bed
The phone isn't making a noise
I just keep think about you and all those other boys

Your the one I hear
when ever your near
but out of fear I plug my ears
I have too many tears

Now the phone is shakin'
and it reminds me of bacon
that you cooked two mornings ago
and now my kitchen is empty, I know

I didn't mean to hurt you
and I don't know who
you feel like calling but I can see
It isn't me

Tonight my phone ain't ringing
and no longer is my heart singing
but I will go on
at least until dawn
