In The Painters Eyes

Contributed by emoDCgirl36 on Monday, 18th April 2005 @ 07:43:16 PM in AEST
Topic: SadPoetry

The paint displays a mixture of emotion
One is lost and never found
Sucked into a vortex of colors
I see black all around
I thought paintings had feelings
Things others can't see
But all I find is this nothing
Surrounding me
It's a neverending black
A color but not
Who can tell what is
And what's not
If time does not tell?
The paint strokes are shown
That all money is wanted
Nothing about the picture really displays
The emotion of the painter
Just the greedy lies of green
It's what we all do in times
When money is prosperous
And you feel so low
All you want to do is be that other person
Act like that other person
Depp, Hartnett, and others
All strive for nothing
When we all strive for what we think they want
The paint shows me all this
Even though I still can't see it
If I wanted to see so bad
I'd just wish for money.

Hmm this is very deep. I'm not sure if I totally
agree with you, but I really liked the imagery
of nothing surrounding you. I thought the
poem itself was really well written.

This is an unusual way to express this kind of mysery, but it was well written, a little deep but good non the less.

Poetry is much like a great photo, a single "moment in time" capturing many feelings and emotions. Yet, they are very alive; creating stirrings within the readers who form visual "pictures" of the expressed emotions within the Poem. ©
