My First Christmas Without You

Contributed by Gin on Monday, 23rd December 2002 @ 08:20:00 PM in AEST
Topic: FamilyPoems

I remember when I was little and I put curlers in your hair.
I remember drawing you pictures while you were in your work shop working on God knows what.
But now there is no more time left to make memories...
I'm left with the ones I have...
The ones left with in my heart.
But I have to say that Christmas won't be the same, Christmas won't be the same Poppop with out you...

As long as he is still alive there is still time and chances for memories, even tho they may not be the type of memories you want them to be, we have to make the most of what we have.....don't give up on him ....you never know just how much he understands you deep inside...go visit him, draw him another picture.....hug him and kiss him and tell him you love him even if you don't think he can understand you....these memories will be ones you treasure as well later on .....thanks for sharing this one my friend it's a very sad write...

Deep down inside I am scared to visit him....I'm afraid that he won't remember me or he will start talking about how he wants his funeral to be...Thanks for your comment it made me realize that he's still alive and he's still my Poppop...
feel free to write back...
