Burst of Lightening

The Winter has left and gone
Seasons change-
With the wind and rain
A burst of lightening came
Illuminating the doused flame
Strong winds in the cool breeze
Long gone is the cool freeze
Wet now, soaked tears
Hands and soul trembling with fear
It’s the end of the day, a new year
The night is pale and gray
The dullness lulls the delay
Peaceful memories, of a time now past
Ancient reminders of a spell recast
A story retold, the tree grew bold
Blue and cold, is your face wrinkled so old
Time means no harm
The clock clicks with only one arm
Seconds rush past, so fast
No longer a child playing in the grass
Painless dreams, infinite in size
The world it seems, is never on my side

Oh wow I love this one!! I notice it's almost a complete rhyme scheme too...I believe it's the first 'traditional' rhyme I've seen from you! I don't know why, but this reminds me of something I'd write, or have written...Maybe this is what you meant in your reference to my writes?? Very interesting...
Good job with this write jyss: )
