Lonely Soul

Contributed by blue_angel on Sunday, 17th April 2005 @ 10:09:03 PM in AEST
Topic: SadPoetry

Forever have I been here waiting
Confused and lost and utterly alone
Only wishing to have someone
So I didn’t have to be on my own
But this only proves what I’ve known all along
I’m stupid and ugly and I don’t belong
Careless and failure and so sedating
I have no one there next to me
I know I can be someone
But no one else believes
So my hopes have been shattered and I’m still alone
With such disappointment and grief I do moan
No one is there when there is a need
No one to hold me when I get cold
My frail heart has no savior
Nothing can rescue my lonely soul

i love this poem. if u r speaking from the heart i want u to know i've been there. just keeping writing it down. that helped me a lot. but i really admire the way u used ur words. very catching. i love it.

that's such a beautiful poem, it really describes loneliness very well. Don't forget, there's always someone out there who cares about you :)
Don't stop believing in yourself, you really are someone in this world

I think so many of us can relate to what you so eloquently express. The feeling of inadequacy with who we are, primarily because we are rejected by others whom we want to be a part of. But focus on this I know I can be someone. That's the critical line in your piece. Be who you want to be and d*mn everybody else. Your heart can have a savior. You.
