He sits in total immersion, watching the sunlight resting on her face
Giving her pale and delicate skin a new, and almost angelic tone
The Grotesque left wondering which of heaven’s minstrels brought her here
Still left in a amazement of how something so beautiful could love something so grotesque
Though it could be assumed, real beauty lies only in the beholder’s eye.
In this purpose is the only way the grotesque could be an angel in disguise
Or could just be the forgotten knowledge of his once proud wings
Having just begun to rediscover, and to understand the purpose it serves
Perhaps its just she seems to hold the power of heaven in the palm of her hand
With each fragile touch pain seems to become a distant and faint memory
Life itself flows again with every brush of her finger tips, or even slightest tickle
Each embrace filled with a beautiful and glowing warmth, a feeling long forgotten
