dodge flying palaces, loaded

This is a confusing write that has all the elements of good poetry but the thoughts are somewhat scrambled.
It sounds as if, no matter how one imagines things, how outlandish they may be, they can't escape war, death, etc. Needs a bit of clarification in my humble estimation.
