The Fishiens
God, this poetry is hard
I keep drawing a blank
Like when I check my credit
In that goddamned bank!!!
I can’t think at all!
This rhyming turns me blue
And even when it don’t
It’s like my head has the flu
Okay. I hit the end
And I’ve been matched
Ran into a door
That wasn’t unlatched
I can’t go on
I need sleep so bad
It’s to the point
That my rhyming is SAD
I’m sinking, I’m falling
I’m out of thoughts
They’re pointless anyway
Now my paper is covered in inkblots!!!
Well that’s better than mine
There’s nothing there
But I’m so bloody tired
I don’t even care!
My eyes are all drooping
I need major sleep
There’s work I need to finish
I need this complete!
I know what you mean
I’m not making sense
I want sheep to jump
Over my dream fence
I hate procrastination
It’s something I can’t help
It must be hereditary
I know, I’ll give mom a yell
Meh, does it matter?
We won’t win a thing
There’s nothing to do
It won’t swing
Just leave it as is
And let them judge
I’m just plain tired
And… I suddenly crave fudge
Uhg! You see!
I hardly make sense!
When I try to rhyme my last sentence
… you got 50 cents
Sure I do!
But I have no brain
I’m sick of this
I’m going insane
I’m going to bed
You need sleep too
What we have done
Will have to do
I guess that’s it
That’s all she wrote
Maybe it’s good enough
And we’ll get the vote.
Doubt it though
