Seek Balance

Contributed by The_Poetress on Friday, 15th April 2005 @ 08:21:36 PM in AEST
Topic: poets

Dear Poet,

Thank you for your dulcet words of life,
but your world become just a life of words.
Your definition of living free
is writing poetry without rhymes.

I am glad you have formed new friendships,
like the computer, paper and pen.
Lately, you are forgetting old friends,
like the oceans, sunsets and people.

Unwarranted, my concern may be,
for you are just heeding to your muse;
barring words from flying with the wind.
Please limit your time gripping their wings.

Seek balance, and land on mountain tops
or upon the charmed waves of the sea.
Solitude could be an art haven,
but in abundance, loneliness lives.

Love your humble friend, Life.

Is not this the truth! I wonder how many poets have been in need of this message from Life. Wouldn't it be a splendid thing if we could incorporate all our values, loves and passions as poets into life, to bless others? I pray for such ability.

Very well written piece, eloquent and graceful. Welcome!

Andrew

Poetress:

This piece is super!! Extra credit.. 100 points..

I am keeping a copy of these thoughts in my mind when I write..

Could it be that we are creating experiences from our writing.. for others.. and vice versa..

I'd be a fool to not heed your words. Solitude cunsumes...
An extremely well written piece, very inspiring.
Take care.
David
