Agonized Allure.
Enraptured I
Have cast my eye
And it has stopped on you
As you sit there
Still unaware
Of what you put me through
I say the lines
Show all the signs
But you don’t even glance
And so I try
To walk on by
You wont give me a chance
And deep inside
the pain i hide
I wish I knew your name
I burn as fire
As I inquire
The answer is... chow mein.

It's inspiring, and I'm hungry.
I think we can all identify with the emotion expressed here. A truly timeless first submission.

Of course... now understand the burning in my flesh, the yearning in my heart.
I must have... chow mein? Ok, it works. Maybe a little too, melodramatic, or some big word like that, but it works.
Take care Bobby,

Inscrutable. As deep as any dish I have pondered, as complex as any Won Ton soup I have lovingly eaten....lovingly eaten, ahhhhhhhhh. Sorry, What Oh, yes the poem. A very different first posting, where most people (including moi) try to power up a big angsty piece to establish their site cred as a "POET".
I think this is a new genre in the making. Present it to an ad company - I do believe you're on a winner.

Truly a relatable piece. I know whereof you speak... I haven't really told anyone this - but... the truth is, I've fallen head over heels for chop suey... lol.
Welcome to YPDC! What a way to come through the door. *smiles*
