Moonlight Dancing On Purple Walls
~~~~~
Moonlight dancing on purple walls
Silhouettes embracing in the halls
The ball of all balls has begun
Music of every type has been sung
Lovers wrapped in each other’s arms
Creating heat to set off alarms
It’s Saturday night out on the town
Turn down the lights, and turn up the sound
No rush for the morning light
Just sweaty bodies worshiping the night
Moonlight fading on purple walls
Sunlight peaking in the halls
Generation X, is all worn out
To their homes they scramble about
All is quiet as the work week starts
But Saturday night lives in the heart
I love the imagery in these painted words. This had a nice flow, and even brought back memories of those Saturday nights. This had an erotic feel to it that just melted my heart. Great job Jeff! ~joni~ |
