MUTILATION OF MERCY

Contributed by Onslaught on Friday, 15th April 2005 @ 04:04:58 AM in AEST
Topic: DarkPoetry

I want to sever my ears off
So that I’ll never hear
What I can never say
So that I won’t know
The things that people
Aren’t ever going to say to me

I want to tear my eyes out
So that I’ll never see
What I can never be
So that I can never see
That what I want and need to be happy
Is a crime against my morality

I want to sew my mouth shut
So that no one will ever hear me speak
And realize how pathetic I am
So that no one will ever know
That I lack a personality

I’ve already known misery
So since suicide is selfish
At least allow me this extent
Of this possible mercy
Please allow me
This mercy mutilation
This mutilation of mercy

I want to sever my ears off
I want to tear my eyes out
I want to sew my mouth shut

I’ll be of complete pity
And my only remaining
Understanding of hell
Will be in my imagination
And in my memory
