I Found Love

Contributed by Pats4eva7 on Thursday, 14th April 2005 @ 08:55:51 PM in AEST
Topic: LostLove

Many love's have come and go,
And all left my heart breaking.
I can't take it anymore,
I can't handle all this aching.

I had closed my heart down,
I promised those words would never again leave my lips.
But somebody always climbs over the wall around my heart,
And suddenly I let those three words slip.

I;ve learned to stich up the pain,
And forget the hurt in my past.
But after a while the ache builds up,
And I know my happiness won't last.

But oneday an angel fell,
And landed in my heart.
I was sure this was real,
I thought we'd never part.

Our love was beautiful,
So unique and rare.
I couldn't have made it through it all,
Without you there.

I slowly let you in,
And I began to bear my soul.
Day by day I loved you more,
The more I loved you the more I felt whole.

You now owned my heart and soul,
And yet you asked for more.
So I gave you my virginity,
My knees buckled at your loving lure.

Handing you my body,
Made my lovejust grow.
All throughout my body,
Endorphins of love flowed.

I found love in you,
And you said you found love in me.
But that's impossible,
Keep reading and you'll see.

On that first night of intimacy,
You lied and whispered "I love you."
But now I know you didn't mean it,
I found something that wasn't true.

I seemed to fall so hard,
But I fell in love with a lie.
Just thinking about all the pain,
Makes me wanna break down and cry.

So you weren't an angel,
Who was sent to my heart from above.
But that doesn't change the fact,
That in you I found love.

I really like this! I gave my virginity to my last bf that broke up with me 2 weeks ago. If you are going through even half of what I have delt with these past 2 weeks then I am very sorry. I'm in your position and i know how bad it hurts. Great poem though, and you may not know it now, something good might come out of this. Keep your chin up :-D
