I'm sick of being told what to do
I can't be controlled
I'm too independent, it's true
They all think they rule the world
I want to gain my freedom
I want to have fun and frolic
All I want, in my own little kingdom
Where everyone is treated equally
I'm sick of all the self-centeredness
They believe in themselves so much
My own world would have kindness
I feel I just want to disappear from reality
At school, we're supposed to enjoy ourselves
But with all the yelling and bickering
They have an aura around themselves
They keep within their own mind, their emotions
We must follow senseless rules
Within this prison we call school
I want out, now put up with the ridicule
As you seem mean, but I won't be played as a fool

Jenny a powerful and very well expressed poem. I can feel ur frustration between the lines. Hang in there for it will get better.

good write. all schools are like this. like my friend said, they want us to have independence and make our own decisions, yet they tell us what to do and how to do it. nice poem.
