Without You

Topic: EmotionalPoetry

so close to you but yet so far
you hold me in your arms again
i'm not quite sure of who you are
i know you're just playing pretend
i wish that you could only see
how much i deeply care for you
that there is so much more to me
past all the stupid things i do
you say you miss me but it's not real
and i know you lie when you say you care
though i can't help the way i feel
i can't feel your presence even when you're there
a ghost is all you are to me
but i cant seem to let go
you unblended me, you helped me see
it's dangerous but i'm vulnerable
to me you are the best thing
you've helped me to stay alive
you've trained my voice to learn to sing
and now to live i strive
but without you i am not
without you i am dead
it was for you that i fought
but now empty is my bed
i sit out on my windowsill
preparing to make the leap
today myself i will kill
i wonder if you'll miss me...

Really good stuff. Yeah, I too thought it was a somber loss poem then you toss in the windowsill stuff. It's like when your expecting the curve ball and the fastball just blows right by you and you don't know what happened...
