The Oasis Inside

It rests in the middle,
smack dab in the center
of the places one would never expect

holding weaponry
loaded and cocked
determined and cold blooded

somewhere
something says
LOOK!

It is in that moment
when all the world's ammo
was created for a lost cause

a weapon pitted against
with the power of nothing
is the serenity that makes
the most focused warrior bow

from that point on
the future
no longer has walls of deceit
blocking the dreaming eye

from that point on
life has new meaning

if all is fair in love and war
allow me to add my two cents
but never will I resort
to a refund

there is too much we haven't seen
when we find what rests
in the middle of the places
one wouldn't dare look
