An elven prince walked by the sea, the sea
The ocean waved and cried, “Be wary of me, of me”
The elven prince replied, “But you are so fair, so fair
From your blue cloak to your white hair, white hair”
To this the sea did say, did say
“Do not walk this way, this way”
The prince cried in despair, despair
“For you, my love, I care, I care”
The ocean in a fit of fury, fury
Began to recede in a hurry, hurry
The elven prince called, “Don’t go, don’t go”
But the sea had no more to show, to show

On some loines i understand the repeat because it adds rhythym to the poem then you shorten your rhthym and continue to repeat the last words and throws the reader off. Nonetheless this is a good write. |
