Were we ever meant to be?

You knock me down each day,
With something else you say.
I look into your eyes,
When all you speak is lies.

A thousand promises made,
How come they always fade?
So much in common you say,
But instead of me you chose to stray.

A broken heart so it would seem,
You made it out like you were keen,
You touched my heart you'll never know,
How much this pian has helped me grow.

Dont think you'll ever know,
How much you've hurt me so,
But life goes on i know this now,
Theres not much point in another row.

To think i've cried so many tears,
I really did think you could release my fears,
Did you really mean to hurt me?
Were we ever meant to be?

I think i deserve much better then this,
All this fuss for one stupid kiss,
If i can only have you as a friend,
Then i'll wait right here til the very end.
