Dawn has broke
But we're enclosed by darkness
Gleaming light from above
Reflects and is my fortress
It keeps me from shadows
Hidden in the night
Softly emphasizing peace
Funny how all that comes from a street light
Rain had fallen
But now is a mist
As I walk along pools of puddles
And by the soft raindrops I'm kissed
The street is empty
I can hear silence
Mesmorized by the gleaming light
Acting as my tyrant
A car ventures across
The raindrop sea
And I forget the light
That hypnotized me

This is beautiful, dreamer_for_eternity!
I like this part:
"A car ventures across
The raindrop sea..."
I like the personification of the car venturing across and the rain being described as a sea of raindrops.
Beautiful work! Keep it up! : ) |
