Non-existance

Grief
|
The day that dreams are lost,
Meaning may slowly diminish.
Shame may rise into despiration,
And hope may be but a faint memory from a past so distant.
Death no longer serves a purpose,
Since life had never been.
I lived for tomorrow,
Hoping to one day join the ranks of equals,
But pretending I was already there.
Is there anything worse
Than facing
The horrifying reality
Of your own non-existance?
