Every day you see me outside
With rodents sleeping by my side
You look at me with sympathy
But that won't get me out of poverty
I am everywhere you look
In every corner and every nook
I won't be rich unless by fluke
I know that since i am not a crook
I guess we are here to stay
Nothing has been done for us till today
It is not our choice to stay this way
And no-one heeds what we say
But heed this warning i say to you
We are the majority and you are few
We are the backbone of this country
So we don't deserve to be cold and hungry
