I Knew You Once ''REVISED''

You were there when you took my friend
I saw you hovering over her, waiting in the shadows
till it was time.
I knew you were there creeping around
I tried to warn my friend and others.
No one would listen, no one saw
The shadow creeping around my friend

You took others that were related to me
but I could not stop you
you are merciless in your endeavours to take souls

I knew you once when you took my friend.
I knew you once when you took my cat.
I knew you once when you took my brother.
I knew you once when you took my ema.
I knew you once when my cousin Sara almost died.

I can't believe you thought of taking me when I was just born.
You had me in your grasp for just a few minutes
But I escaped you that time and many more from that day on.

You were there waiting in the shadows when my friend talked of suicide.
You thrive on sorrow and mourning and disease
You neither work for Good or Evil,
You are neutral in that everlasting fight.

Why then did you almost take me
Why couldn't you have completed the job
Did you want me to suffer the ridicule and horror
of misery unending
Please tell me why you let me live and not others
you haunt my dreams and memories
For you are DEATH
