the unrequited

touch me
cut me
just tear my soul away
feel the pain
that i have felt
every single day
destroy my heart
just break it in two
and make me die
once more with you
i hope you realize
you must recognize
how much that i need you
my only hope

erect the sadness in my soul
you do this all day long
prepare me for my burial
i won’t be around for long…
unless you stop the bleeding;
you are the anecdote i seek
yet you just walk away
and neglect your feelings for me
i know they linger in your heart
but ignore them is what you do
i hope to get the chance
to tear your love apart
and watch your tears fall down on you
revenge is what i seek

darkness
this is what i know
heartache
this is what i feel
loneliness
this is what i trust
depression
this is how i deal
but revenge is what i seek

you naive little girl…
you have no idea what you did
when you shut me out forever
you will pay for what you did
you’ll cry black tears forever
only God can save you now…

bury me now
take my life
and cut my eyes away
i want to see
your face no more
even when i sleep
when you lie
i hope you cry
cause soon you will die
and when this comes
my work is done
the revenge i seek is complete
and now i die alone
and we will rest in peace
forever and ever
just as God intended it to be
… my only hope

Poetry is much like a great photo, a single "moment in time" capturing many feelings and emotions. Yet, they are very alive; creating stirrings within the readers who form visual "pictures" of the expressed emotions within the Poem. ©
