Choose

Contributed by brokengirl on Sunday, 10th April 2005 @ 11:01:58 PM in AEST
Topic: selfstruggles

Everyone keeps saying that I have a choice
But I don’t see it that way.
They say I can stop at anytime
But I don’t care what they say.
She says it’s for me to decide
If I go back to see her or not
But what would my parents say if I stopped
And also my teachers try to care a lot.
If it’s really my choice
Then why did I have to go in the first place?
They don’t think I can decide,
They think my problems I can’t face.
But they have no idea
That I face them everyday
The pain is the problem
And it just won’t go away.
When I talk to my friends
They always say
“You have a choice,
So just put the blade away.”
It’s really not that easy.
I can’t just put it away
Sometimes I do for the night
But it comes back even stronger the next day.
I wish I felt like I truly had a choice
Because if I did, I would choose to quit.
I would stop if the pain would go away
But it doesn’t, so this is how I deal with it.

Nothing in life is easy.
Very sad but written well.
You've laid your feelings out and they will definently touch all that read this.
Hang tuff and keep the faith.
luv, huggs, prayer,
emy
Don't let what others say get u down. No one knows unless they walk in your shoes.

That was a great poem. I think it was well-written. It's easy to understand also. It has feeling in it also. It was a job well-done! Keep it up! Jenny

Hey, I'll pray for you. If you can't do it alone, Someone you know who loves you is willing to lend a hand. Take strength.
Take care.
David
