The Wind Is Blowing
In My Heart It's Snowing
It's Cold, It's Freezing
My Soul Is Wheezing
I'm Slowly Dying
I'm No Longer Trying
The Wind Is Slight
The Light Is Bright
I'm Reaching For The Warm
My Thoughts Being To Swarm
I Am Able To Escape The Pit
My Inner Light Is Now Relit
But You Are No Longer Here
And You Are No Longer Near
But It's Better Off This Way
Don't Get Me Wrong, I Want You To Stay
But Feel Free To Be Honest, I Want The Truth
No Matter What It Is, No Matter How Uncouth
I Need To Hear It
Although I Fear It
It Will Set Me Free
And Allow Me To Grasp My Identity

Douglas K.

Good poem, good rhymes. But why do people think death will set them free?

Douglas, it is a fine poem. It's always better to know for sure, than to let the doubt raise ghosts within us. Well done.
