The stars paint your face with light.
Who is this angel that fills my sight?
The waters are still by which we lie,
A metaphor for the peace inside.
That such beauty may reside
In a world so far from paradise
Defies the limits of my hopes.
Yet I cant deny what I know,
For such perfection my mind cannot create.
Nor could it wish for such kindness of fate,
That one so unworthy as I would be deemed
Deserving of a companion who defies my dreams.
I swear to show my love of this one,
This being who outshines the sun.
Lay down your head of gold.
I'll guard over you while the night grows old.
The moon shall be our brother,
To watch one half of the soul join the other.
