Free At Last

Contributed by Whisper on Friday, 8th April 2005 @ 09:00:57 PM in AEST
Topic: Grief

There she stood looking down
The bridge was empty and cold
Her breath hung in clouds
Round her head
And She cared not

Just one little slip
That's all It will take
No one would miss her
Hell
No One would even know
She will just slip into the water
and go to sleep
To awake ,
she thinks,
In A better place
Far away

If someone was just there
Soon enough
Things would be different
Their shouts of..
Come down from that Bridge ledge

You damn fool
Think Of what you could have done
If only you'd waited

But she hears them Not
As she closes her eyes
She simply steps away
Leaving us behind to Think
That errie thought

Its Too Late
She 's Free At Last

Whisper

I like the name you chose. Whisper is such a pretty name.
Anyroad, I've written poems like this. You did a wonderful job.
I hope you aren't thinking of hurting yourself. I'd be sad. ; _ ;
And the world would be deprived of your WONDERFUL poetry.
Keep up the good work, Whisper.
And remember, ‘whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is gracious, if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things.’-Holy Bible, Philippians 4:8

The cries that no one hears... Soooo sad! We need to listen with our hearts--not just our ears.

Good poem--great insight!

Linda
