As Death Whispers

Contributed by pixie on Friday, 8th April 2005 @ 12:37:17 PM in AEST
Topic: DarkPoetry

As death whispers I listen,
I look over & see his knife glisten,
It draws me in as it promises death,
To rid me of my final breath.

I hear it everywhere that I go,
It crawls across my skin so slow,
Tempting me to be its victim,
Telling me that my demise will be grim.

I try to block it out of my head,
If I listen I know I’ll end up dead,
At night I lay frozen by fear,
As I am waiting for him to come near.

Breathing loudly into my soul,
Leaving me feeling the dead & icy cold,
He makes me want him with his touch,
He will never release me from his clutch.

I can hear his whispers even as I write,
I mustn’t give in to his evil plight,
He’ll break me in two & snap my sanity,
Infecting me with all his profanity.

I have become engulfed by his dark charm,
I know to me he will only cause harm,
But it’s hard to ignore as he begs & pleads,
& how he longs to make my soul bleed.

Deliciusly morbid, beautifully woven with ebony seams, flowing gracefully on cool winds... I hear your cries, cheri.. Do not succumb to death's melodies...however tempting and enchanting they are. It pains my heart to see a good friend be burdened with such pain and sorrow... You do not deserve this. All my love and comfort, cheri pixie. Exquisite piece of poetry, as are all of your gorgeous poems. Flawless till the very end. I'm just a PM away whenever you need someone to talk to! =) Je t'aime, ma douce amie. Forever,

Your friend and fan,

Stephy! *hugs and love*

Pixie That is a Excellent write. So beautifully expressed. What fear you hide if your plight is as that innocent girl or boy sees it. Its a good write but its sad coz somewhere our brothers and families really are feeling that Death is whispering begging them near.

Peace
Whisper

*hiding behind a pillow typing!*...

Even though I personally prefer happy, religious, inspiring poems I always find your dark poems so cleverly written ....
~
*I feel better knowing it is written as a fiction, as I get easily scared! *
