Your tears are corrupting your face
Ruining a perfect design
Three days straight now
What’s a mirror to do
But show the real you
Cant you see that you are pretty
That these days of ugliness are only temporary
They are saying your disfiguring your face
Do you think by covering beauty
It will make things better
Let everyone see your brightness
Don’t hide away in the darkness
Please don’t think such thoughts
What happened to the old you
The gurl who could stop the world?

I read your poem twice and gave it some thought. As a child I could relate to the image of my own perception of ugliness and the mirror. But now as a woman I don't see myself as either attractive or non. I guess I don't think about it. I am who I am.
The old you if it is truly you will circle back again and the world will be yours.
Very emotional poem. Well written.
