Scrounge

You scrounge in my head
Tear my thought's up by it's roots.
Your hands are warm like your heart,
but your soul is hidden
behind a hard shell that freezes my skin.
Your eyes carry endearment...
that awaits permission to be!
I see that...
I see you...
Why do you fear me
my hand
and my heart.
My soul sleeps uneasy beside your cold shell,
With time my heart will solidify by your side!

Excellent relationship poem. Enjoyed the metaphors. I especially loved this verse;
You scrounge in my head
Tear my thought's up by it's roots
I hope your heart doesn't harden.
