Any Closer?

Contributed by withlove_me on Monday, 22nd July 2002 @ 06:18:38 AM in AEST
Topic: InternetLove

I've never felt your soft gentle touch
Or brushed your hair from your face
Or smelled your sweet perfume
Or felt how sweet your lips taste

I have never held you in my arms
Or danced with you all night
Or have you go to sleep in my arms
As I held you safe and tight

I have never walked with you alone
Held your hand and stared into your eyes
Or sat with you on the front porch
And count the stars in the sky

Or felt your beautiful body
Tremble from my touch
Or felt your hand caress me
When you want me oh so much

I've never sat with you on the couch
And watched a movie that made you cry
Or watched you as you went to work
Stand at the door and tell you bye

I have never given you roses
Some you can hold in your hand
Or watched you lay in the backyard
As you get a golden tan

I want so bad to kiss you
To feel your lips on mine
And hold you close and tell you
Your special and one of a kind

As time goes by,day by day
We stay close only as friends
Am I any closer to any of this
Than when we first begin?
