The Monster Inside Us

Contributed by SilentMatt on Thursday, 7th April 2005 @ 10:32:45 PM in AEST
Topic: psychoticpoems

When you feel that feeling of anger and delight
that feeling you get when no one knows your fright
you are the monster that no one knows
inside the pain grows
you soon give into try to mold
the monster now has hold
you go to the place which the anger was first found
you let loose one hundred rounds
People try to run
but you find yourself having fun
its all over no more delight
the monster has left the fight
you see yourself shaking
inside the remoarse is waking
you cant live with this choice
you hear a voice
it wants to take your life
you grab for the knife
the monster hears your plea
he doesnt agree
you think then slit
the wrists spit
Your delight grows
there is no more monster to hold

Wow, good write. The flow was off just a little here and there...but your emotions were raw and clear, your descriptions were vivid. Good job, and welcome to the sight Matt.....

I'm Carol and if you like to read or write poetry...this is a wonderful place to be...I joined in January and I'm hooked! (The folks here are great too!)

I love this poem, I was so into it. I seriously am going to my room to cry now.
