Where Shadows Fail to Fall

Contributed by ForeverAlone on Thursday, 7th April 2005 @ 10:26:26 PM in AEST
Topic: Suicide

I slowly creep torwards the ledge
Knowing what is to become of me
I see my end
Where the rocks crumble under
Where the shadows fail to fall
On this edge I shall end
It all

The wind pushes me forward
My heart is barely beating
And I'm stating to fall torward
The emptyness of my life
And the nothingness of the sky
My body is falling onward
To where I'll end and die

I seem to be falling in slow motion
And my past seems to forget me
All I can see are rocks and the ocean
And whats already passed me by
And it kinda seems like a self abortion
But I still can't cry

Right before the end
Where it would finally cease
My mind starts to bend
My thoughts stop my fall
It's unlike the beginning
It stops everything
...
I awake from it all
...
But then I think
What if I would have gone through with it
What would become of my shadow
That failed to fall
...

A sad, emotional and deep write. You've written this very well. You can feel the pain through every line. A sad, but outstanding piece of poetry.
Hugs,
Sue

::shakes head:: you need to quit lying to yourself about the quality of your poems. since you seem only believe your own opinion, what use is mine? until you can see that this is brilliant, you wont believe what others say. until you believe that this is a masterpiece, you wont believe that i think that it is. you deny your ability and this poems greatness to believe in what could be. but i shall not deny that i love the poem, even if it could be better (in your mind).
