I think of you almost every moment of the day.
I fear the times you say goodbye because who knows if you'll be there the next day.
I picture your face in my head when you are not around.I sit and daydream of the next time I can see you.
And I remember the nice things you did for me that day.
Watching the clock and waiting for the minutes to go by
One minute closer till I see my beau again.
As I walk across the street, seeing couples talking, and kissing, I can only remember the memory of you. Those bright blue eyes, his sandy brown hair, how he gazes at me and say’s love you.'
On a winter’s night, we cuddle up tight, and we hold each other all night. As my body tingles next to his, I find for once I’m at the mercy of a man and I cannot control its destiny.
As I lie next to him in bed at night, I watch him sleep, dreaming a million dreams of me. Wrapped up in his arms as I roll over to stare out the window and gaze at the stars and moonlight. It is so romantic and I feel blessed.
But then it happens. I feel a shaky, an uneasy feeling in my gut.
My heart beats a thousand times faster.
I look around and nothing is there.
I lie still and try to calm down. I realize something is going wrong.
I know my relationship is on the line, and I have to move fast to erase the mistakes I’ve made.
As my mind runs faster, I realize at this point I’m sleeping.
When I wake up it will all be over.
As the morning comes my beau awakes me with a beautiful rose. And my suspicions of him being gone were all wrong.
And through the day, the night, and the year to come, I begin to appreciate what I have more and more.
But still I fear the thought of goodbye.
I fear that one day we will be lost and we will be unable to be found.
And yet separately is where we will have to move on.
Realizing the one person in the world you can trust can be the one who loves you most.
By then the light at the end of the tunnel brings hope to those less fortunate than I. For I have a guy who does love me, and appreciates the better things in life. More so, respects who I am and who I want to be.
Granted problems can arise, my fears are set aside for now and I let my life lead on...
