At no time
must you allow the mind
to be overtaken by your emotions
but there is no magic potion
to calm our hearts' oceans
We feel
period.
Sometimes it drives us delirious
and furious
the purity of
raw feeling
it's oh-so-appealing
revealing
I know it hurts
cuz God knows your heart claims a part of mine
I hear you
I feel you
You never wanna love again
but you can't help it
when it reels you in
Just be real again
cuz **** happens and we gotta live wit it
just spit wit it
and let it out if you need help to get wit it
cuz even warriors shed tears

People forget this, that holding stuff in can only make it worse.
Now one doesn't have to necessarily shout it from a roof. Sometimes just getting it out over a cup of coffee can do the trick.
Good write too, has a "slam" feel to it. |

William Blake has an exquisite poem on the subject. Holding it back is ruinous. Two friends split that could have had a brilliant relationship for not having it out instead of letting it worm inside that deepened the cleft.
So true
Very good write this friend.
