Softly I had slept in a bed of thorns
With the coldness of night’s air as my blanket
Nightmares clouded my delicate mind
The world just watched me as I slumbered
The world never guessed of my bead dreams
For I remained still in my sleep
I did not want to move, for I was afraid
To wake, for I may face love’s pains
But then, I hear a song so lovely
A melody far from the wretched cries of my dreams
I felt warmth from someone’s hand
Has love really come to save me?
Slowly, I opened my eyes
Light and color blinded me for a while
I see a figure of a man…
Love has awaken me from a deadly sleep

That means a lot to me coming from one of the best poets on this site. :) Thanks again. |
