Slowly cruising downtown
On my way home from daily life
Not at all stressed out
When I --again-- hit a red light
Above the lake an eagle
Soars high up in the sky
Closer to me, sea gulls
Swoop swiftly as they glide
I'm content and I notice
I capture their neat scene
And once they're out of sight
The light turns red to green
I crane my neck around back
To see if I can see
But they're gone now
It's just like they flew there...
Just for little old me
I notice and it's special
A smile upon my face
At the glimpse that graced my presence
And vanished without a trace.

This is beautiful i felt like i was in that car
with u maybey they know somthing humans
don't, that we should be treated well even if
we ain't celeberties . . .

Chels, what an amazing write. Good flow and pattern, i enjoyed reading this like most of you're poems that i have been reading lately. i just adore this.
