She sat in the fire,
trying to ignore the pain.
All her fears had come true,
this she definitely knew.
She was now in the deepest circle of Hell.
She had skipped purgatory
and ended in this never-ending nightmare.
She kicked and screamed,
threatened and pushed.
But Satan’s Gate, refused opened.
She did not let him know her fear.
She did not whimper or spare a tear.
She went to his altar,
but did not kneel or falter.
She looked into the eyes of the devil him self and said:
“I have lived my life,
full and true.
And now I’m telling you
to let me go.
I have done nothing wrong
and I will remain strong
This you can see.
So let me be.”
Her words pierced the infinite shadows,
but the devil did not heed her warning.
The purest of pure light flared from her palms
as she took the dark prince down.
She pulled a claw from his ashes.
As she claimed it as her token,
Satan’s Gate burst open.

Interesting work! I don't come across too many poems set in Hell. Keep writing.
