The Road To Hell

Do you know what it feels like?
To always have your life on the line
Do you know how much it can hurt?
When someone you love pains you so fine?

Do you understand the anguish that I endured?
Just to get through the day without you
Do you know how low my self-esteem dropped?
No, you'll never know; you'll never have a clue

Do you how much my heart ached for you?
My eyes constantly searched for your loving face
Do you know to what extremes I went to?
My mind was always in a blur, a whirlwind, a haze

Do you remember those nights we spent together
Thinking of things afar, under the sun that set?
Do you even understand the meaning of the words you said
"You are my life; moments spent with you I'll never forget"

But now, they're forgotten and never to return
I believed them once, but never again will I be under that spell,
You promise things you know you can never keep
Never again will I follow the road that took me to hell.
