I'm sorry.

Contributed by Archie on Wednesday, 6th April 2005 @ 03:58:57 AM in AEST
Topic: ApologyPoetry

There are times within my life
I do things that i will regret
I cause misery and strife
within others as I do myself

I'm so sorry to you Neptunes_first
for not being loyal to you
I accused you wrongly of things
you would never ever do

I'm so sorry to you Jenny_k
you've been a special friend to me
and I must admit that I sometimes
have given into vanity

I'm so sorry to you Lost-in-myself
I misread your comments to me
When all you had really done
is poured out your heart to me

I'm so sorry to you Ramfire
for not finishing our game of chess
It was selfishness I do regret
that led unto my disrespect

I'm so sorry to you Rita
I mistook your dignity
when one day I read and thought
that you had insulted me

(chorus)
All that i can say for myself
Is there was no excuse
to take the gift you've given
and turn it to a heart that's hurtin'
I hope you accept my apology
so that we can live in harmony
And that I can finally move on
to a place where we're in unison

And to all the people on this site
who think that I have hurt you too
I address my sorrow deep
If indeed i have hurt you

You are my friends and comforters
I dare would say my family
and if I can't apologize
something must be wrong with me

(2nd Chorus)
My only excuse
is that I was into myself
I should have given thought
before i dove in selfishness

I have been working on this for awhile and I think this is a very good YPDC dedication. I am glad to have relationships where I can share not only my ideas but my heart.

A thousand miles across the sea
separates both you and me
and yet we still share life and dreams
that brings us to great unity
An open book that others read
which brings inspiring melodies
connected by the thread of life
by words that bring prosperity

It kind of funny how often people just say they're sorry for the sake of saying sorry. This was not the case here. You were sincere and conveyed your emotions thoughtfully and strongly. Well done

You always do a really nice job
on everything
and it's cool to be here
with writers like you.
