Where the End of the World Lies

The moon grows paler climbing the sky,
so far yet frightened still by our aura,
the most trustworthy disaster we've come to rely,
will soon turn into the box of pandora,
The worlds just a rottening cake lined with icing,
with only a few candles still left in the box,
hopelessness is finding it way to enticing,
to sit in my mind like solid dead rocks,
we're sure we build bridges faster then they burn,
and new routes to new problems arise at our door,
bridges to the same place and upon our return,
arriving at the same mess we had just before,
we've got keys to doors we're not meant to open,
and worthless treasure we're not meant to find,
an easier way to through lifes what were hoping,
but we will stumble upon the end of mankind.
