Chrysalis Unfolding

On a still night, she springs
From depths of grassy nebula.
She spreads her ripe plum wings,
And to the air, she softly sings.
Cradled gently in her leaves,
She feels this is the time to go.
The gift of life, she receives,
And to the night, a breath she breathes.
