Can I flirt with you,
my dearest friend?
For an hour let's play pretend.
Caress your back
and tap your feet with mine.
Our hands combine.
Hold your hand and pull you close,
avoiding your lips and eyes.
Feeding you almost lies.
Push you away
and tease again.
Of course I get up and hug you then.
Stroke your hair
and lick your ear
wipe away your mental tears.
I seduce you,
though I love you not.
But sometimes if feels like I forgot.
Wrap my legs around you,
playfully say “You’ll never leave!”
Your smile I have achieved.
I just can’t help it.
I hold you down to the chair.
When I’m with you I don’t have a care.
To let you go
would mean to die.
To be with you... I’m not sure why.
Screwing with your emotions
messing with my own.
Your hearts constant rhythm
my somewhat-love’s moan.

| its a great write, but it seems to me like you may be hurting your friend and yourself, i dont mean any disrespect, just my observation. i like the truth and the style of your writing. i hope to read more. |

| I LOVE THIS POEM!!!!!!!! this i seriously can relate too to one of my beat frienda he sid he really likes me and i have a bf already but the more i act like i want him the more i lead him on and i dont know what to do my friend said cause u have a choice you feel like you like him back and i flirt with him all the time i dont know why sometimes i really like this poem thanks for reading my comment later' Denise |

| That's a great poem! I can relate to that well. I started liking a guy friend, while I still had a bf. It's true that it can confuse your guy friend and make him think you want him. I did that to him, and it's the biggest mistake I've made in my life... I miss Jesse! Jenny |
