She stood still
Gazing up at the sky
Watching ripples in the clouds
Slowly pass her by
She doesn’t mind the tears that spill
The wind that blows through her hair
Its just what makes her feel
To grow so cold on the outside
Is what makes her slowly warmer inside
As the chills begin to move up her back
She doesn’t mind feeling it
It’s the only thing she’s felt in awhile
Maybe this time it’ll stay
The feelings…maybe they wont go away…

A simple but vivid piece, that expresses itself quite well. I like it.

i think this is a very good and expressive write. i could picture her standing there looking at the cold grey horizon. you have a way with words. short, simple but effective. |
