Empty!

Topic: LostLove

From the moment we parted,
All those years ago,
I‘ve felt something’s missing,
I thought you should know.

From the shock when I wake up
In the cold morning light,
Till the time when I kiss
Your photo goodnight.

I think of you always,
When I’m out in the car,
I drive and I drive
Never getting very far.

When I sit to watch t.v.
With my coffee and biscuit,
I think should I do it,
Buy a ticket and risk it.

Then I’m sad when I realise
That I just can’t afford,
To fly out and kiss you
All those miles abroad.

I’m so sorry my sweet,
I am such a fool,
I should be there with you,
Burning by the pool.

I should have said yes
When you asked me to go,
A regrettable act,
Unforgivable I know.

All I can think of
Is holding your hand,
Life here without you
Just seems so un-grand.

Well I think that’s enough
Feeling sorry for myself,
All of this moping
Can’t be good for my health.

This poem should finish
With a bit of a laugh,
But nothing appears
To rhyme, except bath.

Now I’m thinking of you
Soaking in the tub,
I jump in as well
But my butt grabs the plug.

See
EMPTY!

Well, I have to say, that you did make me laugh on your last verse!! :) You know how we all learn from our past. Wishing we had done those things, or did!!! NIce write though. I enjoy looking back on my writes. I see what I had seen then, perhaps not looking at the write thru the same eyes as before. Amber Rose :)

Hi Rose, Looking back seems to be most of what I do at the moment, when it comes to love! I can't seem to imagine myself without this particular Woman, I like to say I'm over her but I find it hard to write new stuff! Rhyming things anyway!

Kind regards
Dean ;-)

Hey Candice,
It seems you like my writing, if only you could see the smile that knowing this gives my mush!
Thankyou again for your lovely kind comment.

With love
Dean:-)

Dean, I really do like your writing. I only comment on the stuff I like. And your writing is very good.
