11:54 Am
Lauren listens to the rain
Hears heavenly angels crying
In hopes she has enough strength
To get off the floor
Instead saying a wish she was dead.
7:13 Am
She has not slept all night
Too much going through her
Not enough time to think of it all
Rainy pavements washed over
Like a fresh new scar.
Fear has turned safety into dust
With her heart bound by barb wire
Eyes gray as fog not read clearly
How can anyone understand her life?
Nobody tries to help, no one cares.
Lauren thinks about her past
Painful says it all
Written on all four walls
Things about her life
Poetry she's written.
You can't open doors
You can't make it happen
You just have to imagine
What's going on
Inside Lauren’s head.
